Pearl is a premier anti-aging and longevity substance that has been used for thousands of years. It's one of the great secrets of the most beautiful women of the Orient. In China, Pearl is used as one of the best beautifying, skin nourishing and Shen (spirit-elevating and calming) tonic herbs.

Pearl powder protects the skin from aging. Its strong antioxidant activity helps slow down the development of melanin which can cause dark spots and freckles. Studies show Pearl can enhance the body's production of collagen and fibroblasts––two important components of a healthy dermis responsible for the firm, bright, healthy-looking skin we associate with youth.

Pearl also contains mucopolysaccharides that have been shown to prevent wrinkling and increase libido.

Pearl is extremely mineral rich. It's a complete protein, loaded with amino acids and trace minerals including a highly absorbable form of calcium, magnesium, manganese, zinc, iron, strontium and many more.

Pearl is a powerful Shen stabiliser and mood supporter. It can help to relieve uneasiness, nervousness, anxiety, and tension. Pearl promotes sound sleep and is commonly used to prevent and overcome fatigue.

With consistent use, Pearl can maintain a person’s energy and vitality, heal blemishes and maintain the health of the skin.

Teelixir Pearl powder is “levigated” and highly bio-available. It's 100% finely ground into a powder, very close to nano-size, for easy and complete absorption.

Ingredients: Pearl 10:1 Extract Powder*

* 100% Super micro-ground "levigated" pure freshwater Pearl powder. No added grains, starch or fillers.

Healthy Dose

We recommend starting with 1/4 tsp per day. If you are sensitive to herbs, you may want to start with less. When your body feels ready, you can increase your dosage according to your daily needs. This extract is not heat sensitive.

Topical Use

Pearl is also commonly used as an ingredient in beauty face masks. Applying Pearl powder directly on the skin will leave your face more soft, smooth and silky. It also helps promote the reduction of redness and other noticeable blemishes.

Make a Pearl powder face mask: Put 1-2 servings of Pearl powder in a bowl and add water, just enough to make a thick paste that you can apply to your face with fingers. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing.

Pearl powder can also be used as an effective finishing powder to set your makeup. It’s considered “mineral makeup” because of its high mineral and amino acids content. Add 1-2 servings of Pearl powder into a dish, dip in your makeup brush and lightly brush the powder over your face. As a powder, it also acts as an exfoliating agent. Suitable to use on all skin tone colours. Try applying it at night to soothe skin while you sleep and help absorb excess oil during the night.

What is "Levigated" Pearl powder?
Teelixir Pearl is 100% super micro-ground using a modern technology known as “Levigation”. The traditional problem with Pearl powder is that it was very difficult to grind down fine enough to make it bioavailable for the human body. But recent advancements in grinding technology known as “levigation”, now allow the Pearl to be ground down very close to nano-size. This technique produces highly absorbable Pearl powder that can be fully utilised by the body once it easily enters the bloodstream.

The levigation process works with the following procedures:

  • High-grade Pearl is ground in water using a circular motion.
  • Fine powder will become suspended in water.
  • The water is removed, thus separating the suspended powder from non-suspended heavier powder.
  • More water is added and the grinding continues until all pearl powder is “extracted” (goes into suspension).
  • This will also separate the centre impurity (the “seed” that starts the pearl) from actual pearl powder.
  • The solution with “extracted” pearl in suspension is left to settle so the pearl will deposit to the bottom.
  • The deposited pearl is then dried. This “levigated” Pearl powder is almost nano-sized and is thus very easy for the human body to absorb.

Where is it sourced?
Teelixir Pearl powder is harvested from Zhejiang province, the largest origin of freshwater pearl in China.

What does it taste like?
Pearl powder has a sweet and salty taste.
