Vegan Cauliflower Buffalo Wings with Maitake Superfood Medicinal Mushroom (Vegan, Paleo, Grain Free)

Vegan Cauliflower Buffalo Wings with Maitake Mushroom (Vegan, Gluten Free, Paleo)


For the Cauliflower wings:

  • 1 medium or large head of cauliflower
  • 3/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tb garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (or to taste)

For the sauce:


  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees or 230 Celsius.
  2. Layer a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Wash and cut cauliflower into bite-size pieces.
  4. In a large bowl add coconut flour, water, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Whisk ingredients together well.
  5. In batches, toss the cauliflower in the batter until fully coated, tapping off any excess batter.
  6. Line cauliflower evenly on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake cauliflower for 15 minutes.
  8. While cauliflower is baking prepare hot sauce by first melting vegan butter or oil in a small pot then add sauce and Maitake Mushroom. Thoroughly whisk ingredients together.
  9. Once the sauce is starting to boil remove from heat and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  10. Remove cauliflower tray from oven and toss wings in buffalo sauce using tongs.
  11. Place cauliflower back on the tray and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Remove your Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Wings with Maitake Mushroom from oven and serve immediately with your favourite vegan ranch or dipping sauce, cut carrots and celery. Enjoy!
